What are Dedicated Hosting Servers?

When we speak of hosting web servers, there are 3 main kinds - shared hosting servers, VPS (virtual hosting servers) and dedicated servers. Shared hosting web servers host numerous customers and so the system resources per web hosting account are limited, VPS hosting give you more server configuration freedom, but also influence other virtual private hosting servers on the hardware node if utilized unwisely, and dedicated hosting servers offer you the chance to carry out everything you decide without messing with anyone else.

Why would you require a dedicated hosting servers?

Dedicated hosting servers are usually much more high-priced than shared hosting servers or VPS servers. Why would anyone, then, want to use them? The answer is pretty simple. If your firm has a resource-requiring website, or just has very specific server architecture requirements, the most reasonable choice would be a dedicated hosting servers. For somebody who is prepared to invest in safety and reliability, the higher price is not a concern. You gain root access and can utilize 100 percent of the hosting server's resources without anyone else using these resources and meddling with your online portals.

Hardware specifications

Most hosting companies, including us at izazap, provide several different hardware architectures you can pick from as per your demands. The hardware configurations include different types of processors, a different number of cores, different RAM memory and server hard disk drive sizes and different bandwidth allowances. You can select a web hosting Control Panel, which is a handy software tool if you would like to use the dedicated hosting servers for web hosting purposes only and choose not to use a Secure Shell client for all the modifications you will be making. We provide 3 sorts of hosting Control Panel software - Hepsia, DirectAdmin and cPanel.

The hosting Control Panel of your choosing

If you are a self-assured Linux OS user (our web servers are running on Linux or other Unix-based OSs), you could administer your dedicated servers through an SSH connection exclusively. That, though, could be awkward, especially if you decide to grant access to somebody else who has less technical proficiency than yourself. That is why having hosting CP software pre-activated is an excellent idea. The Hepsia hosting CP interface that we provide does not include complete root access and is mostly suitable for someone who runs plenty of web sites that swallow plenty of system resources, but would rather manage the sites, databases and electronic mail addresses via a user-friendly Control Panel. The DirectAdmin and cPanel hosting Control Panels, on the other hand, give you complete root-level access and include three levels of access - root, reseller and user. If you intend to resell web hosting accounts instead of utilizing the dedicated hosting servers just for yourself, you should choose one of these two.

Web server monitoring and backup services

Last but not least, there is the issue of monitoring the dedicated hosting servers and of backing it up. In case of a problem with your dedicated web hosting server, such as an unresponsive Apache or an outage, it is advisable to have some sort of monitoring platform activated. Here at izazap the system administrators monitor all dedicated hosting servers for ping timeouts, and, if you order a Managed Services upgrade, they monitor the individual services on the dedicated hosting servers too. Backups are also an additional feature - the hosting provider offers you data backups on our own backup servers. You could select a type of RAID that would allow you to keep the very same data on two hard disks as a precaution in case of a hard disk failure, or in case someone whom you have ranted root-level access deletes something by mistake.
